How to Get Pineco in Pokemon Pearl

If someone disturbs Pineco while it's feeding on insect prey and hanging from a tree branch, it will fall and explode. The bagworm is capable of spitting out a liquid that hardens upon exposure to air. Although blue, this Pokemon resembles a conifer cone. Pineco, the bagworm Pokemon, is a Bug-type. Once Pineco reaches Level 31, the Pineco will evolve into Forretress, a Bug/Steel-type Pokemon. In "Pokemon Pearl," Pineco is a GBA exclusive Pokemon.

  Remove the plastic cover for the GBA slot. Insert the "Pokemon Emerald" cartridge in the cover's place. Switch on the Nintendo hand-held. If you don't see "Pokemon Emerald" on the main menu, remove the GBA cartridge and reinsert it into the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite.

  Select "Pokemon Pearl Version Nintendo" on the main menu of your hand-held. Skip to the start menu of the DS game. Select your save file with the "A" button. Fly to one of the following locations: Eterna City, Hearthrome City, Pastoria City or the Pokemon League. Shop for Net Balls at the local PokeMart.

  Look for Pineco in the grass patches of Eterna Forest, Route 203, Route 204 or Route 229. About eight out of 100 Pokemon will be Pineco in these locations. The Pineco will range from Level 5 to Level 20.

  Fight the Pineco until it has less than one fifth of its hitpoints remaining. Chuck your inventory of Net Balls at the Pineco until you capture it. If you have no other use for the Net Balls, sell them at any PokeMart for 500 PokeDollars.
