How to Get Vileplume in Platinium

You cannot catch the Pokemon Vileplume out in the wilds of Pokemon "Platinum". Vileplume is the last of two evolutions of the Pokemon Oddish. Players need an elemental stone, the Leaf Stone to evolve it to the last stage. This Pokemon is a Grass/Poison type and is very weak against Fire, Ice, Flying and Psychic types. But it is strong against Water, Ground, Rock types.

  Collect a Leaf Stone. You can get one at Floaroma Town's Meadow or uncover one by digging for it in the Underground.

  Wait until nightfall and travel to Route 224 or Route 230. Run around in the grass until you run into the Pokemon Oddish. Battle, weaken and capture it.

  Train the Oddish to Level 21. Here, it will evolve into a Gloom. You may continue to train the Gloom if you wish, or proceed to the next evolution. Be sure to have it in your party if you wish to evolve it.

  Open your bag and select the Item pouch. Find the Leaf Stone and select it. Choose "Use." This will take you to your Party Pokemon. Select "Gloom" and it will evolve into a Vileplume.
