How to Get Electivire in Pokemon Pearl Edition

There is only one way to obtain an Electivire in "Pokemon Pearl," and that's with the help of the rare Electrizer item. Electivire, the Thunderbolt Pokemon, is known for shoving its power line-like tails into its foes to shock them with 20,000 volts of pure electrical power. This large yellow bruiser cannot be captured in the wilds of "Pokemon Pearl," unlike the Elekid and Electabuzz that it evolves from. You will need to locate an Electrizer and that can be a challenge for "Pokemon Pearl" players.

     Capture an Elekid. Elekids are found on the southern end of Route 204.

     Evolve the Elekid into an Electabuzz by raising it to level 30.

     Find an Electrizer. The only way to obtain an Electrizer is to catch an Elekid that is holding one. Only 5 percent of the wild Elekids in "Pokemon Pearl" are holding Electrizers.

     Give Electabuzz the Electrizer to hold and trade it to another Nintendo DS version of "Pokemon." Electabuzz instantly evolves into Electivire upon arrival.
