How to Get the Claw Fossil in Emerald

In the world of "Pokemon," fossils contain trace evidence of creatures long since extinct. If you happen to discover a fossil, you can use modern technology to learn about the creature it once was, and possibly bring it back to life. The Claw Fossil will eventually lead you to discovering and reviving Anorith, a Rock and Bug-type Pokemon that resembles a winged centipede. Collecting a Claw Fossil in "Pokemon Emerald" is easier than in other game versions because you do not have to choose between it and the Root Fossil.

     Travel to Route 111 and enter the desert.

   • 2

     Locate Mirage Tower. This large sand tower stands near the middle of Route 111.

   • 3

     Run into the tower.

   • 4

     Make your way to the top of Mirage Tower. You will need the Mach Bike to ride over the cracks in the floor without falling through.

   • 5

     Collect the Claw Fossil from the top floor of the tower. At this point, the tower will collapse into the ground.
