How to Get an Apicot in Pokemon Diamond

In "Pokemon Diamond," you once again take on the role of a young boy or girl just starting out their career as a Pokemon trainer. Throughout your adventure, you will face rival trainers, powerful gym leaders and even criminal organizations. You will need every tool at your disposal to win, including the magical apicot berries. While the berries can be hard to come by in "Pokemon Diamond," there are ways to obtain them.

  Go to Mt. Battle in any generation III Pokemon game ("Ruby," "Sapphire" or "Emerald") and purchase an apicot berry for 15,000 Poke-coupons. Poke-coupons are rewarded for winning battles in the many tournaments and games on Mt. Battle. Earning 15,000 may take a while, so be persistent.

  Give the berry to any Pokemon and trade it to the Diamond version. So much of the Pokemon series revolves around trading from other versions of the game to get the best items and Pokemon. While it may seem taxing to have to trade from another version of the game, the apicot berry is much more potent when traded to Diamond.

  Remove the berry from the Pokemon and add it into your inventory. Once the berry is in "Pokemon Diamond," you can either give it to a Pokemon and gain its special ability (Special Defense increases when health drops below 1/4) or plant it and have it blossom into a tree in 96 hours. An apicot tree will yield one to five berries a day.
