How to Get a Pokemon to Level Up Fast in the Day Care in Pokemon Diamond

"Pokemon Diamond" is the first "Generation IV" game made for the Nintendo DS. In the game, players must capture, train and battle Pokemon to earn the ultimate goal of being the strongest Pokemon trainer in the land. Pokemon can be dropped off at the day care for those who would rather have their Pokemon level up without their help. While in the daycare,Pokemon will earn one level of experience for each step the player takes. This can be a slow process if players merely walk, however, you can cut this time significantly by using the bicycle.

Instructions

  Travel to Eterna City, then find the shop that has bicycles outside. Go inside and talk to the owner of the shop, who will give you a bicycle.

  Travel along Route 209 until you reach Solaceon Town. Locate the building on the left side of town with the old man standing outside. Talk to him and place your Pokemon in the day care center.

  Pause the game and select "Backpack" then "Bicycle."

  Press "B" to switch gears and increase your bike speed.

  Ride your bicycle along Routes 209 and 210, periodically checking back on the Pokemon left at the day care. The amount of time needed to level up will depend on the Pokemon level and its experience points. Lower level Pokemon will level up much quicker than higher level ones, taking as little as a few minutes, while higher level Pokemon may take up to an hour.
