"Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise" features at least one pinata that can't be unlocked using any of the conventional means. The Ponocky is a pony pinata that doesn't seem to have a practical use, but this creature won't appear in your garden until you reach a certain skill level. After you reach this level you'll need to purchase Ponocky from a specific shop to get him to become a resident in your garden.

Play through the game until you've reached level six in your gardening skill level.

Click on the "Shops" option on the touch screen, then select "Gretchen Fetchem." Gretchen captures pinatas and also sells Ponocky.

Purchase Ponocky from Gretchen Fetchem for 2,100 chocolate coins. Ponocky will then appear in your garden and remain a permanent resident.
