How to Get HP Ice on Magmar

Hidden Power is an unusual move in "Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White." Despite being labeled as a "Normal"-type attack, the type of Hidden Power depends on your Pokemon's stats. There is a complicated algorithm to calculating the typing of your Pokemon's Hidden Power type, but the easiest way to figure out the type is to take your Pokemon to the Hidden Power man who will simply tell you. Magmar can learn Hidden Power through a TM. If your Magmar does not have the appropriate stats for Hidden Power Ice, you will need to obtain or breed a different one.

     Travel to Mistralton City and enter the Pokemon Center.

     Place Magmar at the first position in your party.

   • 3

     Talk to the man in the upper corner of the Pokemon Center and show him your Magmar. He will tell you what Hidden Power type your Magmar has.

     Travel to Nuvema Town after seeing 100 Pokemon and speak to Professor Juniper. She will give you TM10 which contains Hidden Power.

     Select TM10 from your inventory and teach it to Magmar. Magmar will now have Hidden Power Ice.
