How to Put a ROM on a Dsi SD Card

The Nintendo DSi is the company's flagship mobile console, but as with many other video game consoles on the market as of the time of publication, there's also third-party support for functionality such as ROMs. If you want to use a ROM on your DSi, though, you have to load the file onto your console's SD card. However, with a computer capable of reading SD cards, you can easily load a ROM onto your Nintendo DSi.

SD card-capable computer
ROM file

Instructions

  Put an SD card into your computer's SD card slot. If your computer doesn't already have an SD card slot, many electronic stores offer USB-to-SD card converters for sale.

  Open "My Computer" and navigate to the SD card's file directory.

  Open a second folder and navigate to where the ROM is located. Drag the ROM file onto the first folder to cue up a file transfer progress bar --- once the bar disappears, the transfer process is completed.
