What Are the 10 Top Dinosaurs on Fossil Fighters?

The game "Fossil Fighters" for the Nintendo DS portable system is an interesting mix of exploration, education and entertainment. Because of its similar appearance, many have likened it to "Pokemon." However, "Fossil Fighters" contains aspects of archaeology such as finding and excavating fossils and a challenging combat system that make it unique. For many players, the biggest struggle is finding the 10 best dinosaurs, known as vivosaurs, to place on their teams.
  1. Attack Class Vivosaurs

    • Attack class vivosaurs are all about power. It's not surprising that most of the best come from this category. Dynal is the Number One vivosaur in the game with the highest strength and unrivaled skills. Igno takes the Number Two spot, boasting the same strength as Dynal, with good statistics in other areas and a nice assortment of fire-based skills. Frigi takes Number Three, with solid statistics and useful ice-based skills. Despite T-Rex's superior statistics to the previous two, he ranks Number Four because he hinders the abilities of your other vivosaurs. Guhvorn is not exactly a dinosaur, but as a playable attack class creature, his top tier attack, statistics and skills places him solidly at Number Five.

    All-Around Class Vivosaurs

    • All-around class vivosaurs are based upon balanced statistics and the ability to sustain prolonged conflict. The down side to using this class of vivosaur is that they fare poorly on their own against powerful enemies. Spinax is the best example of the class, taking Number Six with nice median statistics, the very useful auto-counter ability and low FP cost for power use, which lets him battle for a long while. He makes a great support member to aid an attack class vivosaur on your team.

    Defense Class Vivosaurs

    • Defense class vivosaurs are dinosaurs with the ability to withstand repeated powerful attacks. Alone, they are poor choices, since their offensive capabilities limit their ability to take down an enemy. With the right team, however, they allow a team to endure a powerful enemy until one of your attack class vivosaurs can act. Nodo is the clear selection from this category, taking the Number Seven slot with the highest defense of any creature in the game, as well as a support ability that can raise an allies defense by 90 percent.

    Long-Ranged Vivosaurs

    • Long-ranged vivosaurs, as their name implies, allow attacks at range. This ability is very useful in combat and much coveted, but requires a solid support vivosaur to succeed. Additionally, many of them inflict negative effects on the vivosaurs around them. Perso is the best dinosaur of the category taking Number Eight with the highest LP in the game as well as decent stats and the "Clear the Path" ability which will always hit one enemy vivosaur, no matter how low his accuracy drops.

    Other Classes of Vivosaurs

    • The remaining two classes of vivosaur are support and transformation. Support class vivosaurs are less about what they can do on their own, but more about what they can bring to the team. Transformation vivosaurs excel in their ability to use skills to transform into another type of vivosaur. Guan is the best of both classes, having a support ability that allows him to add 90 percent to an ally's attack ability, as well as the ability to transform into T-Rex (one of the most powerful attack class vivosaurs) securing him the Number Nine position. Aopteryx takes Number Ten because of his versatility in being able to transform into any neutral vivosaur.
