How to Catch Elekid in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Elekid is an Electric-type Baby Pokemon that you can capture in "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver." This Pokemon has the "Static" ability, which causes the opponent to have a 30-percent chance of getting paralyzed when using a move that involves physical contact with the Elekid. Once Elekid reaches Level 30, it evolves into Electabuzz. You can get an Elekid by breeding a female and male Electabuzz at the Pokemon Daycare. The egg you get from the Daycare Man will hatch into an Elekid.

Instructions

  Go to a PokeMart to stock up on Great Balls or Ultra Balls. Train a Ground-type Pokemon like Diglett or Geodude to Level 15. Teach it Ground-type moves such as "Dig" and "Earthquake."

  Go to Route 10 north of Lavender Town. Look for a female and male Electabuzz in a patch of long grass. Weaken the two Electabuzz with Ground-type moves. Catch the two Pokemon with Great Balls or Ultra Balls.

  Travel to Route 34 south of Goldenrod City. Enter the only house on this route. Give the Daycare Lady your female and male Electabuzz. After every 256 steps, talk to the Daycare Man who is outside of the Pokemon Daycare. Take your Pokemon out of the Pokemon Daycare once you have an egg.

  Walk 6,000 to 8,000 steps to hatch the egg. Speak to the Goldenrod Miracle Cycle shop owner. He will give you a Bike to use for free so you can advertise his shop. Use the Bike to hatch the egg in less time since the Bike travels faster.
