How to Get a Dragonite in Pokemon FireRed

In "Pokemon FireRed," some Pokemon, like Dragonite, can only be obtained through the process of evolution. Dragonite is one of the first dragon-type Pokemon introduced in the game series. Despite is appearance, it is actually a friendly creature that responds well to trainers. To get a Dragonite, you first need to capture its lesser form, Dragonair, from the Fuchsia City Safari Zone. After a rigorous training regimen, Dragonair evolves into its final form, Dragonite.

Instructions

  Go to Fuchsia City and head into the Safari Zone. Pay $500 to go inside. You get 30 Safari Balls to use.

  Walk to either area one, two or three. Look for a pond or other body of water.

  Face the water and press "A." Select "Yes" when asked if you want to fish. At random, you may hook a Pokemon.

  Throw a Safari Ball if you hook a Dragonair. If you fail to catch the Dragonair with a ball or two, it usually runs away. If this happens, use your fishing rod to hook another one.
- 5
  Fight battles with the Dragonair until it reaches level 55. At level 55, it evolves into Dragonite.
