How to Get Pictures on an SD Card to DSI

The DSi is a hand-held gaming device manufactured by Nintendo. The Nintendo DSi has an SD card slot that you use to expand the storage capacity of the system and save games or pictures taken with the DSi's built-in camera. If you already have pictures saved to an SD card from another device, you can view those pictures on your DSi. In order to view the pictures saved to your SD card, you must access the "Album" function of the "Camera" utility on the DSi.

  Open the SD card slot cover along the right edge of the unit.

  Insert an SD card with pictures on it into the slot, with the metal pins facing upward. Press in on the SD card until secure. Do not force the SD card into the slot or you can damage it; the SD card can only fit one way.

  Press the "Power" button to start your Nintendo DSi.

  Tap the "Camera" icon on the bottom screen using your stylus.

  Tap the "Album" option. A list of photos saved to the SD card will appear.

  Scroll through the photos and tap on one to view it at full size.
