How Do I Catch Lickitung in Silver?

"Pokemon Silver" was released for the Nintendo DS in 2000. Lickitung, a Normal-type Pokemon, is one of the available Pokemon to capture in the wild. While Lickitung is not strong against any particular type of Pokemon, neither are many attacks strong against him. Only Fighting-type Pokemon are effective against him or any Normal-type Pokemon. Before you attempt to capture Lickitung, stock up on the strongest Pokeballs you can at any available Pokemart.

Instructions

  Travel to Route 44, to the east of Mahogany Town.

  Walk in the tall grass on Route 44. As you walk in the tall grass, Pokemon will attack you randomly. There is a 15 percent chance that Lickitung will be the Pokemon attacking you. Lickitung will be either Level 24 or 26.

  Use your Pokemon's attack moves to damage Lickitung until his health bar is in the red. Do not use any Fighting-type moves on Lickitung, or you may defeat him accidentally and then need to find another.

  Use any status-changing moves to paralyze or put Lickitung to sleep. Some options are Sing, Stun Spore and Thunder Wave.

  Select "Bag" and select your strongest Pokeball to capture Lickitung. If Lickitung breaks free, continue to use Pokeballs until he is caught. Once caught, Lickitung is added to your Pokemon lineup.
