How to Get a Waterstone in Pokemon SoulSilver

Waterstones are used in "Pokemon SoulSilver" to evolve certain Water-type Pokemon. You can obtain a waterstone either by showing a Staryu to Bill's grandfather in Kanto or by purchasing one from the Pokeathlon Dome north of Goldenrod City. You can only receive one waterstone from Bill's grandfather, but you can receive as many waterstones as you wish from the Pokeathlon Dome, depending on the day of the week.

     Travel to Route 25 in the Kanto region.

     Talk to Bill's grandfather and show him a Staryu. He will give you a waterstone in order to evolve it. If you have already received this waterstone, you can receive another by going to the Pokeathlon Dome.

     Travel to the Pokeathlon Dome, to the west of the National Park. If it is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday, you can purchase a waterstone for 2,500 points.
