How to Get Munchlax in Platinum

"Pokemon Platinum" is the 2009 Nintendo DS version of the roleplaying game franchise by Nintendo and Gamefreak. One of the Pokemon that is available in the game is Munchlax. This creature is the unevolved baby form of Snorlax. Unlike other wild Pokemon in the game, Munchlax cannot be found in tall grass. Instead, these Pokemon prefer to spend the day hiding in honey trees. The appearance rate for Munchlax is very low, so getting a Munchlax is a time-consuming process.

Instructions

  Play the game until you are able to visit the town of Floaroma. Do so, then go to the nearby meadow and you will see a farmer being attacked by a galactic grunt.

  Approach the grunt and defeat him in battle to save the farmer. Your reward is 10 units of honey. Each unit can be used on a tree in order to attract a Pokemon. If you require more honey, just speak the farmer again to buy some.

  Exit Floaroma and travel along Route 210 until you see some honey trees. These trees look different from other trees and are recognizable by their golden-brown color.

  Stand in front of the tree and press the "A" button, then answer "Yes" when asked if you want to put honey on the tree. Explore the area and put honey on all the special trees to increase your chances of finding a Munchlax.

  Wait six hours, then return to the trees on which you put the honey. If the tree is shaking, there is a Pokemon --- though not necessarily a Munchlax. Stand in front of the shaking tree, then press the "A" button to begin a battle with the Pokemon you've lured.

  Reduce the health of Munchlax until it is in the red, then use a Pokeball on it to capture it. If the Pokemon in the tree is not a Munchlax, just defeat it and move on to check the next tree until you find one. Out of all the available honey trees, only four have a random chance of spawning a Munchlax.
