How to Get a Spiritomb in Pokemon HeartGold

Spiritomb is a rare Ghost and Dark-type Pokemon. In "Pokemon: HeartGold" and "Pokemon: SoulSilver" it is only available in the Pokewalker. The Pokewalker is a pedometer-type device that connects to the Nintendo DS via infrared and features additional areas and special Pokemon not found in the full games. Spiritomb is located in the Quiet Cave area of the Pokewalker game. Once you catch Spiritomb, you must transfer it from the Pokewalker to your copy of "HeartGold."

Instructions

  Turn on your Pokewalker and Nintendo DS. Select "Connect to Pokewalker" and then "Go for a Stroll" from the main menu. Choose a Pokemon to send to the Pokewalker.

  On the Pokewalker, travel to the Quiet Cave. The Quiet Cave is unlocked when you have earned 100,000 Watts.

  Wander the cave until you encounter Spiritomb. Spiritomb and Munchlax appear once you take 10,000 steps in the cave.

  Catch Spiritomb with a Pokeball.

  Return your Pokemon to the DS game. Choose "Connect to Pokewalker" and "Return from Stroll" on your Nintendo DS main menu. Your main Pokemon and captured Spiritomb will appear in your copy of "HeartGold."
