How to Get Through the Ice Path in Pokemon SoulSilver

Although the Pokemon SoulSilver version offers better graphics and other enhancements, the gameplay and strategy from the previous Pokemon Silver version remains the same. As a Pokemon trainer, you must train Pokemon and battle trainers and gym leaders in route to become a Pokemon master. In order to complete the game, you must travel through the Ice Cave, which contain numerous tricky ice paths.

Instructions

- 1
  Enter the Ice Cave through the Route 43 entrance. Follow the winding path, past the first ice patch and stop at the second ice patch.

  Navigate through the second ice path by standing at the edge where the land meets the ice path and pressing the following arrow movements in sequential order:
  
  Up, Left, Up, Left, Down, Left, Up, Right.
  
  If completely correctly, this should get you from the ice path back onto dry land.

  Continue along the path until you reach a ladder going down. Take the ladder down and follow the path around until you see a large boulder and a hole. Use your Pokemon's "Strength" ability, push the boulder into the hole. Continue around the same floor and push three more boulders into their closest holes.

  Step into the hole in the south-east corner of the level. This will transport you onto another ice path. Press the following arrow movements in sequential order:
  
  Right, Up
  
  You will reach a patch of dry land and a ladder.

  Go to the left of the ladder without going up the ladder and press the following sequence:
  
  Left, Down, Up, Right
  
  You will reach a ladder in the center of the level. Take the ladder down.

  Walk east until you reach another ladder. Take the ladder up.
- 7
  Walk south until you reach another ladder. Take that ladder up.

  Walk west until you each another ladder, Take the ladder up as well.

  Walk south until you reach your last ice path. Press the following sequence to reach the kimono girl found on the ice path:
  
  Down, Left, Down, Right.

  Talk to the girl and fulfill her request to push her toward the exit of the cave. Press the "Down" button for a final time to slide on the ice path and onto dry land. Continue south and exit the cave to continue traveling toward Blackthorn City.
