The Leaf Cup is an unlock-able course on "Mario Kart DS," which was released in 2005. The Leaf Cup contains four tracks, including Koopa Beach 2, Choco Mountain, Luigi Circuit and Mushroom Bridge. All of these tracks have been imported from previous "Mario Kart" games. Unlocking the Leaf Cup requires players to earn a gold trophy in the Shell Cup and the Banana Cup, which both contain four tracks each. Players earn the gold trophy by having the highest points total of the racers after racing in all the tracks within a cup.

Select "Grand Prix" mode from the main menu.

Select "Shell Cup" to compete.

Race and place first in the cup to get the gold trophy. You do not need to place first in each race, so long as you have the most points after all the races have been completed.

Select "Banana Cup" from Grand Prix mode and earn the gold trophy as you did for the Banana Cup. Now when you access Grand Prix mode, you can select the Leaf Cup.
