How to Find Lugia in SoulSilver

Lugia is a legendary Pokemon and the mascot of "Pokemon SoulSilver." It is the leader of the legendary birds and is depicted in the games as the "guardian of the sea." In battle, Lugia is a very versatile Pokemon, with both offensive and defensive potential. It can learn support moves such as "Reflect," "Calm Mind," and "Roost," and is the only Pokemon that can learn "Aeroblast" by leveling up. In "Pokemon SoulSilver," Lugia awaits the player deep inside the Whirl Islands.

     Defeat Team Rocket in Mahogany Town. Fly to Ecruteak City and defeat the Kimono Girls to obtain the Silver Wing.

     Fly to Olivine City and head west onto Route 40. Surf south onto Route 41 and enter the cave on the northeastern island.

     Use "Flash" and head down the ladders until you reach the bottom floor. Present the Silver Wing to the monk, and he will move aside. Head down the slope and enter the cave to find Lugia.
