How to Find a King Stone on Pearl

In "Pokemon Pearl" for the Nintendo DS, you are a rookie trainer exploring the land of Sinnoh, battling to collect more than 400 different Pokemon. Along the way, you encounter two rivals who hope to beat you out in the competition to become the best Pokemon trainer. Sinnoh's Team Galactic also poses a threat to your future at the top. King's stone, or as it is called in the game, "King's Rock," will be useful when you acquire Poliwhirl or Slowpoke.

Instructions

    • 1

Put a Pokemon that has the Pickup Ability into your party. The Pickup Ability enables Pokemon to have a chance of finding items after a battle. Meowth, Aipom, Teddiursa, Phanpy, Zigzagoon, Linoone, Pachirisu, Ambipom and Munchlax can learn this ability. If these Pokemon are already holding an item, they will gain nothing when they use the Pickup Ability.

    • 2

Use the Pickup Ability after any battle. If the Pokemon with the ability is between levels 11 and 30, it may find King's Rock. If this does not work, you must find King's Rock after you complete the National Pokedex.

    • 3

See all of the 151 Pokemon listed in the National Pokedex in order to complete it. Unlike previous "Pokemon" games, you do not have to capture all of these Pokemon. You will be notified when the Pokedex is completed.

    • 4

Move around and enter random encounters until you encounter a wild Poliwhirl. It is most commonly found along Routes 225, 227 and 228. You must use another Pokemon's "Surf" ability or use the Super Rod to fish in order to encounter Poliwhirl. Defeat Poliwhirl for a chance at gaining King's Rock.
