How to Put Photos in a Wii Without an SD Card

Photo viewing in your Nintendo Wii's Photo Channel requires the use of an SD card, but there's another Channel that offers an alternative method. Because the Wii Internet Channel is a Web browser, you can view photos in an online photo album, slideshow or Facebook profile without the need for an SD card installed on your Wii. Set up a "Favorite" -- or bookmark -- that is clickable from the main Wii Internet Channel window. You can return later to access your photographs in just a few clicks.

Instructions

    • 1

Use your computer to upload photos to an online photo service like Facebook, Flickr or Picasa.

    • 2

Navigate to your Wii's Home screen and use your Wii remote to select "Internet Channel."

    • 3

Select "Web Address," then type in the URL for your photo album.

    • 4

View your photos using the browser. Zoom in and out by pressing the "+" and "-" buttons on the Wii Remote.

    • 5

Select the star icon at the bottom of your screen to navigate to your Favorites window.

    • 6

Select the icon that looks like a piece of paper with the "+" on it. This will add your current Web page to the Favorites list.

    • 7

Rename the album by selecting the "Edit Favorites" icon, which looks like a pencil, and then select "Rename."
