How to Transfer Wii Programs to Another Wii

While you can copy and paste programs in the form of channels onto an SD card for back-up on your own Wii console, transferring them from your system memory to the card as often as you wish, you cannot download programs and transfer them in one piece to another Wii. Nintendo does not entirely lock a program to one console, however. If the second Wii already has the program downloaded, you can transfer your version of the program onto that Wii.

  1. Copying the Channel

    • 1

Turn on the Wii from which you want to copy a program and insert an SD card into the SD slot.

Click the Wii options button in the lower left corner and choose "Data Management" followed by "Channels."
