How to Swim in Super Mario Galaxy 2

"Super Mario Galaxy 2," released by Nintendo for the Wii in 2010, continues Mario's journey across space as he visits a multitude of different planets. Each planet has its theme; for example, some planets are filled with lava while others are filled with water. Mario has a wide array of moves to perform, including some basic swimming moves when he encounters a water planet. These moves can be performed using the same button presses used for Mario's other basic moves. You can swim any time you are in a large body of water.

     Press the "Z" button to dive underneath the water while you are floating on the surface.

     Press the "A" button to swim forward.

   • 3

     Use the analog stick to look around while underwater. When "A" is pressed, Mario swims in the direction you are looking. Use the "A" button in conjunction with the analog stick to swim in any direction you wish.
