How to Get Wolf Zelda Out of Prison

Early on in the Nintendo Wii game "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess," you'll find yourself in the Twilight Realm, where you'll be transformed into a wolf and locked in a jail cell. To progress in the game, you'll need to figure out a way out of the cell. While the way out may be sitting right in front of you, it isn't exactly obvious what you need to do.

Instructions

  Press the joystick on the nunchuk to move in any direction. Your chain will stop you from moving far, but after struggling with it for a few seconds a cut scene appears, where a small character named Midna breaks your chains.

  Move to the southeast corner of the room and find an old box next to the bars. Press "A" to destroy the box. Then press down on the Wiimote's directional pad to dig under the bars and reach the other side. Another brief cut scene appears.

  Enter the cell directly south of the one where you were chained. Position your wolf under the hanging ring in the southwest corner of the room and press "A" to jump up and bite the ring, opening a gate in the corner of the jail cell. Run through the gate and into the tunnel. Eventually, you'll exit this small tunnel into a larger section of the prison.

  Move north to the T intersection and then head west to the end of that tunnel. Press "A" to bite the ring at the end of the tunnel, and then move east and take the first right. Bite the ring at the end of this small tunnel as well to trigger a cut scene where the tunnels become partially flooded, giving you access to a new area.

  Travel north to the very end of the tunnel you're currently in and bite the ring found there. Then go south and take the first right. Midna, who has been riding on your back, flies off of you and beckons you through the closed gate. Turn around and travel east until you find another ring at the very end of the tunnel. Press "A" to bite this ring and trigger a short cut scene.

  Move west until you reach the bars that separate you from Midna. Move to the left side of the bars and press "A" to enter the small tunnel. Exit this small tunnel right next to Midna.

  Travel west and take the long circular staircase up. When you encounter gaps in the staircase that are too large to jump across, press the "Z" button on the nunchuk to target Midna and the "A" button to allow her to drag you to the other side of the stairs. Continue until you reach the large door at the top of the stairs.

  Climb the rubble located to the right of the door, and then use the "Z" and "A" technique to follow Midna up across a few rock outcroppings to another door far above the first one. Walk through this door to escape the prison.
