Instructions for the Wii Strike Fishing Pole

Bass Pro Shops' "The Strike" video game for the Nintendo Wii has a fishing pole controller that turns your standard Wii remote control into a fishing pole. The controller has most of the functions of a real fishing pole, adding a physical element to the video game that is not available on other gaming systems. You need to properly assemble the fishing pole before using it in the game.

Instructions

  1. Assembly

    • 1

Slide the black end of the pole into the socket on the reel body. The pole will click in place.

    • 2

Connect the nunchuck control wire to the bottom of the Wii remote control.

    • 3

Slide the front of the Wii remote control into the cradle on the top of the reel body, pull back on the white lever behind the cradle and press down on the back of the Wii remote control until it clicks in place.

    • 4

Press the nunchuck compartment cover release button on the back of the reel and lift the cover off of the right side of the reel. Inside the compartment is a cup with a black arrow in it and a white arrow on the body of the compartment.

    • 5

Rotate the reel handle on the opposite side of the reel until the black arrow is pointing at the white arrow.

    • 6

Slide the nunchuck into the nunchuck compartment so that the thumb stick is inserted into the cup with the black arrow on it. The nunchuck clicks when it is properly inserted.

    • 7

Position the nunchuck cable so that it fits within the notch on the back of the reel.

    • 8

Reattach the cover over the nunchuck compartment, press the button on the back of the reel, slide the cover toward the front of the reel and release the button.

    • 9

Wrap the nunchuck cord around the empty spool hanging off of the upper portion of the handle.
