Open the front panel on the Wii and remove the SD card if necessary.
Insert the SD card in your computer or insert it in a card reader and insert the reader in your computer.
Visit the BootMii website and click on "HackMii Installer" to download the BootMii installer file.
Double-click the file to unzip its contents. Hold the "Ctrl" key while you press "a" to select all files in the folder, then right-click a file and choose "Copy."
Click the Start button and choose "Computer," then navigate to the location of your SD card and double-click to open it. Right-click in the empty space and choose "Paste" to paste the files onto the SD card.
Remove the SD card from the computer or reader and insert the card in the Wii.
Turn on the Wii, point the cursor at the "Homebrew Channel" and press "A" on the remote.
Point the cursor at the "BootMii" heading and press "A" on the remote to select it. The BootMii program will load.
Press the "Power" button on the front of the Wii three times to move the highlight over to the fourth icon, then press the "Reset" button to select it.
Press the "Reset" button to select the first icon, which shows a memory chip and an arrow pointing toward an SD card. The program will display a message that it is ready to perform the backup.
Press the "Reset" button to begin the backup process. The NAND memory will back up to your SD card. The file name on the SD card is "nand.bin."
