How to Hook Up a Wii Controller Charging Station

The Nintendo Wii remote controller is an innovative controller that gives a unique gaming experience. However, a downside to the controller is that it needs batteries instead of being charged through wireless. Putting in fresh batteries for your controllers can be a hassle and also expensive, so a simpler method is to use a Wii controller charging station that will maintain your controllers at full charge.

  Connect the charging station to your Wii's USB port, or another USB power source if your Wii has no more slots open.

  Disconnect the standard Wii controller battery pack and replace it with the charging station's charging pack.

  Mount each controller into the charging station slot facing forward, making sure that the wrist strap does not block the charger.

  Check the LED light on the charging station, which is usually a blue light for most charging stations, to ensure that your controllers are being charged.
