How to Use a Wii and Clearwire

Connecting the Nintendo Wii to the internet using a Clearwire modem allows gamers access to a wealth of new functions within the system such as game updates and a full web browsing experience. As an added benefit, using the Clearwire modem lets users have unlimited access to these new functions without having to worry about overage charges and unnecessary access fees. Instructions

      Turn on the Clearwire MiFi device by pressing the power button on the top. Locate the name of the modem on the LCD display.

      Turn on the Nintendo Wii. When the home screen loads, click on the Wii button in the lower left corner of the screen. On the new menu, click the box on the right, labeled Wii Settings.

      Click the right arrow button on the Wii Console Settings 1 menu that appears. Select "Internet" and "Connection Settings" on the new menus that appear.

      Locate an empty Connection box on the screen and select it. Select "Wireless Connection," then select "Search for an Access Point." After the search has completed, select "OK" to view available networks.

      Select the Clearwire MiFi device from the list of available networks. If a password has been enabled, input it by clicking the text field to bring up the keyboard. Click "OK" to save the network settings and connect. Clicking "OK" again will begin the connection test. If an update is available, it will prompt a download immediately after the test.
