Piplup is a Water-type Pokemon introduced in "Pokemon Diamond" and "Pokemon Pearl." Piplup can evolve into Prinplup, a stronger Water-type Pokemon and then, eventually, into Empoleon, a powerful Water-/Steel-type Pokemon. The evolution process is different in "Pokemon Rumble" than it is in the other games. To evolve a single Piplup into Prinplup, you actually have to catch a total of five Piplups and then release them simultaneously. Although it sounds strange, it is the only way to evolve a Piplup in "Pokemon Rumble."

Catch a total of five Piplups. The easiest spot to catch Piplup is the Beach level. To catch a Pokemon, you must first make it dizzy by attacking it, then quickly defeating it while it is dizzy.

Travel to the blue house at the bottom of the main lobby.

Select and simultaneously release all five Piplups. You will receive a Prinplup ticket.

Go to the ticket redemption center at the bottom-left of the lobby and press "A." Redeem your ticket to receive a Prinplup.
