Littlest Pet Shop Tricks

The Littlest Pet Shop is a game for Nintendo Wii created by gaming giant Electronic Arts and based on Hasbro's toy franchise that rose to popularity in the 1990s. The family friendly game features a variety of pets and allows users to create and manage their own virtual pet shop. Pets can explore four separate environments in the Littlest Pet Shop world. In those environments you can care for your pets, play mini-games and share your favorite pets with your friends. The more you play with your pet, the more items and pets you unlock, but to make the most of your game play, it doesn't hurt to use some tips and tricks.

Basic Game Play
- Users start the game with three tickets. These three tickets let you get your first three pets, which are added to the Pet Plaza. Once users have pets in the Pet Plaza they can begin by going to the Meow Market to buy items or the Salon to customize the look of their pet. Most of the user's time will be spent in the Arcade playing games with a pet or exploring one of the four environments. The mailbox, which is perhaps the most important feature of the game, will deliver new tasks to users that will help them complete the game. If a user becomes lost at any time he can enable a tutorial that will give him pop-up tips and help him through the game play.
Unlocking New Worlds
- You can travel among four different worlds, but in order to get that opportunity you must complete various tasks. Pet Plaza is the home world, and it's already unlocked upon starting the game. To unlock the next world you must visit the mailbox to get new tasks. Tasks include activities like walking pets or playing with them. Once eight tasks are completed, a new world will be unlocked. The worlds are unlocked in this order: Garden, Winter Wonderland and Jungle.
Unlock the Giraffe
- Certain animals in the Littlest Pet Shop are tricky to unlock, but if you know what to do, you can unlock all of the secret animals in no time. The giraffe is the trickiest to unlock -- you will need a secret code. First you'll need to enter a yellow building that has a pink roof. After you enter, click through the categories at the top of the screen and select the picture of the giraffe. Then enter the code "LPSGIR," and the giraffe will be added to your roster of pets.
Other Secret Pets
- In addition to the giraffe and the three worlds you need to unlock, you can also do certain things that will help you gain access to more pets and more items. If you want to unlock Tigger Teddy, go to Lee Mill's Big Texco, take the lift upstairs, and Tigger Teddy should be inside. You can get a mystery pet by entering "15934" in the code section of the menu. The two secret trees will also give you access to new pets and items. The first tree is found in the Garden. If you have a pet, go near the tree that looks like a tree house and stand there until a paw print appears; you'll be lead up a secret staircase where new pets and items are for sale. The second tree is in the Pet Plaza and is distinguished by its particular shade of gold.
