How to Pass Donkey Kong Level 3-5

In the 1994 Game Boy title "Donkey Kong," the big ape kidnaps Pauline, Mario's girlfriend, and the Italian plumber must traverse a series of levels to rescue her. This game includes the original levels of the arcade classic, as well as plenty more advanced stages for Mario to conquer. In Level 3-5, Mario must demonstrate his gymnastics skills as he swings from wires and dodges obstacles to reach the key to the exit.

Instructions

- 1
  Head right to a wire above some spikes. Jump up with "A" to grab the wire. You must time your leap to avoid the spark that leaps across the wire at regular intervals.

  Press and hold "Up" to swing to the wire above you. Press and hold "Up" again to swing up in the air, then "Right" to reach the platform above you.
- 3
  Climb up a ladder here while avoiding the fireballs that travel past you.
- 4
  Ascend another ladder and press "B" to pick up the key here. Run to the right.
- 5
  Press "Down" to slide down the ladder here, then go right toward the exit.
