How to Kill Cursed Spikes in Final Fantasy

The Cursed Spike is a unique enemy in "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers" because it cannot be destroyed by normal means. It is created by certain enemies for what appears to be dark, ceremonial purposes, but all they really do is frustrate players. To seal the Mana Stream in the library, you have to destroy all the enemy creatures in the area, including the Cursed Spike. To kill a Cursed Spike, you have to kill the creature that created it.

Instructions

  Pick up the Cursed Spike. Once you do, you will notice it starts pointing in a specific direction. The Cursed Spike acts as a divining rod and leads you to its controller. Turn toward the direction the Cursed Spike is pointing and follow its lead.

  Walk along with the Cursed Spike as it guides you through the library. You will eventually hear a clinking sound, like a hammer hitting something metal. Continue following the sound and the Cursed Spike's directions to find a purple Tonberry clad in white robes.

  Throw the Cursed Spike at the purple Tonberry. Hitting the Tonberry once -- even without the Cursed Spike -- kills it immediately. When the Tonberry is killed, the Cursed Spike disappears and you can seal the Mana Stream.
