How to Unlock Dance Dance Revolution Tracks for the Wii

"Dance Dance Revolution" pioneered the rhythm-and-dance genre in video games when first released in November 1998. In DDR, players move their feet to a set pattern, stepping in time to the beat of a song. Arrows scroll from the bottom of the screen and pass over stationary arrows near the top. When the arrows overlap, you must step on the corresponding arrows on the Wii dance pad. You are scored for the number of correct steps made and given an overall grade. Unlocking songs requires you to achieve high dance grades and completing certain challenges.

Instructions

  Play the Groove Circuit Mode found in the game play options menu. Select an unlocked venue to begin your dance career. Each venue will feature three stages you must pass in order to unlock all songs available from that venue.

  Complete the Mission stage by dancing through the list of songs provided. Some songs require you to obtain a specific dance grade in order to advance. Two new levels unlock once you have completed all of the dance challenges.

  Dance through the new songs available in Request mode. You must meet the same grade requirements from the Mission stage to advance. Once you have achieved a passing dance grade, the new songs will remain unlocked and available to play at anytime.

  Beat the Venue Master in the final Battle Stage. You need to score higher than the Master in a head-to-head dance competition. Beating the Master will unlock the song you just danced to.

  Play through all available venues. Completing each venue's challenges will unlock the new songs from that venue. Completion of the Groove Circuit Mode will unlock all of the game's songs.
