How to Change Your Wii Remotes' LED

Up to four players can wield Wii remotes and participate in the variety of motion controlled games available for the Nintendo Wii. The LED lights at the bottom of the controller indicate the player number, as only one of the four squares will be lit at any given time. The left-most light shows the Wii remote as player one while the right-most light indicates player four. You can use a quick procedure to switch the controller player numbers during games.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Home" key on one of the Wii remotes.

    • 2

Click the "Wii Remote Settings" option at the bottom of the screen.

    • 3

Select "Reconnect" under the connection settings. This will turn off all of the Wii remotes.

    • 4

Press the "1" and "2" buttons simultaneously on each Wii remote in the desired player order. The first one to connect will be player one, the second one to connect will be player two and so on. The LED lights on each controller will flash and then settle on a player number.
