I Have a Game Disc Stuck in My Nintendo Wii

If you have a disc stuck in your Wii console, don't panic. This rare problem can be the symptom of a minor hardware malfunction, and can often be fixed just by resetting the console itself. In some cases, the malfunction may be more severe. If basic troubleshooting is unsuccessful in removing the disk, contact Nintendo customer support. Nintendo may be able to replace or repair your Wii under warranty.

  Turn off the Wii. Count slowly to 20. Turn the power back on. Press the "Eject" button.

  Look at the power light on the front of the Wii. If the light is not green, unplug both ends of the power cord. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the power cord first into the Wii, then into the wall socket or power strip. Turn on the Wii.

  Press and hold the "Eject" button for 10 seconds.

  Tip the Wii onto its side while pressing the "Eject" button. This helps to shift the disc within the console. Turn the Wii so that the disc slot is pointed down to help the disc slide out.
