Call of Duty for Wii Does Not Load

If you are having trouble loading your "Call of Duty" Wii disc and you don't have trouble loading other game discs, then it is likely that the issue is with this particular game disc and not with the Wii console. As of 2010, there are no known issues with the "Call of Duty" game disc on the Nintendo Wii website. Therefore, you must take a few careful steps to ensure you don't have a defective disc. If you do have a defective disc, Nintendo might have a way to replace your game disc.

Instructions

    • 1

Flip the disc upside-down so that you can see the bottom.

    • 2

Look for cracks, scratches, dirt, grease, smudges or fingerprints.

    • 3

Clean the disc with a clean, damp cotton cloth. The cloth should be dampened with water only, and the disc should be cleaned in straight lines from the center of the disc out to edges.

    • 4

Dry the disc with a clean, dry cotton cloth in the same manner and then let the disc sit for two minutes.

    • 5

Look at the bottom side of the disc again. If there are still scratches and cracks, then the disc is damaged and needs to be replaced. Most video game vendors will replace your damaged disc if it is within the vendor's return policy, so check with your vendor if you have a damaged disc.

    • 6

If the disc isn't too badly scratched or cracked, insert the game into the Wii console.

    • 7

If the game still won't load, you must replace the disc, as it is defective.
