Wii Remote
Using just the Wii Remote, you have a couple options for game play. With the "Power" button at the top of the rectangular controller, players hold the Wii Remote at one end for optimal use of the motion sensing functions of the console, allowing for motions such as swinging the controller to affect movement in games like "Wii Sports Baseball" and "Wii Sports Bowling." The Wii Remote can also be turned sideways and held in both hands to mimic game play of a more simplistic controller, with the directional pad on the left and the "1" and "2" buttons serving as the "A" and "B" buttons for classic console games.
Attachments
Players can use the Nunchuk attachment for games like "Super Mario Galaxy" and "Star Wars: Force Unleashed." The Nunchuk adds two buttons and a control stick for better movement in compatible games. Using the Nunchuk to move can allow you to focus on actions with the Wii Remote. You can also insert the Wii Remote into the Wii Wheel and Wii Zapper attachments. With these attachments, you can take part in compatible racing games or shooters, respectively. As well, you can attach the Classic Controller for an experience similar to other console controllers.
MotionPlus
The Wii MotionPlus accessory adds to the performance of the Wii Remote. By attaching it to the bottom of the controller, you can have better accuracy and advanced motion sensory for games that take advantage of the Wii Remote's capabilities, such as "Wii Sports Resort."
