How to Connect a Wii to a Projector TV

Video projectors use a very bright light to project an enlarged image onto a white screen. Traditionally, video projectors have been used for classroom and conference room presentations; however, more recently, they have made their way into the home where they are used for recreational and entertainment purposes. For video game enthusiasts who want a larger-than-life experience, connecting your game console to a projector could be just the thing you're looking for.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up your projector and then place your Wii on the other side of the room.

    • 2

Plug in both the projector and the Wii to available wall outlets.

    • 3

Connect the Wii's AV cables directly to the projector or AV Amp. Depending on your setup, you might need to use a video cable coupler in order to accomplish this since the standard video cables that come with the Wii are not very long.

    • 4

Determine the location of the screen and place the Wii sensor bar at waist height, just below the screen. Try to get the sensor bar as close to the screen as possible.

    • 5

Turn on both the projector and the Wii. You might need to adjust the screen settings on the Wii in order to optimize the picture quality.

    • 6

Load a Wii game you are familiar with and test the controls. If the controls feel slow or unresponsive, try adjusting the sensor bar.
