How to Download Applications on the Nintendo Wii

The Homebrew Channel for Wii allows users to download custom made applications. These applications make it possible for users to do many different things they normally couldn't do, including use cheat codes, play games on emulators, and turn their Wii's region lock off.

Instructions

  Download a homebrew application of your choice from the Internet.

  Double left click on the downloaded application folder on the computer. Insert the SD card into the computer.

  Left click on the start button of your computer. Left click the "Computer" option and left click on the removable drive for the SD card.

  Right click on the root of the SD card's folder and select "New -> Folder." Create a new folder titled "Apps."

  Right click on the homebrew application's folder on the computer and select "Copy." Return to the SD card's root, double left click on "Apps," right click, and select "Paste."

  Remove the SD card from the computer and insert it into the Nintendo Wii. Turn the Wii on and navigate to the Homebrew Channel on the Wii Menu. Press "A" to start it.

  Press "A" on the name of the homebrew application that's now on the Homebrew Channel to start it.
