Wii Problems: Guitar Hero Won't Connect

Connectivity problems between the Guitar Hero hardware and Nintendo Wii usually occur when they are not put together properly. You may encounter some problems like random cursor movements, no response from actions or delayed response from key presses. To get the most out of your gaming experience with the Guitar Hero series of games, set up your guitar and synchronize it correctly with your Wii controller.

Instructions

  1. Synchronize Wii Controller with Console

    • 1

      Turn your Wii console on.

    • 2

Disengage the SD Card slot cover located at the front of the console by lifting it up.

    • 3

Slide off the battery cover on the back of the Wii controller that you will synchronize with the console.

    • 4

Push and release the SYNC button inside the SD card compartment of the console.

    • 5

Push and release the SYNC button at the back of your Wii controller, where the battery compartment is. When blue LED lights stop flashing, the synchronization process is done. The LED shows the number of the controller (1 to 4).

    Connect Guitar to the Console

    • 6

Attach the neck of your Guitar Hero guitar by snapping it onto the body of the guitar.

    • 7

Remove the plate located at the back of the body of your guitar.

    • 8

Attach the synchronized controller to your guitar by plugging in the cable found inside the compartment in the back of the guitar.

    • 9

Slip the attached Wii controller into the compartment, as well as the cable, and then click the plate back into place.
