Things You'll Need
Instructions
Make sure all the cables are properly attached to the Nintendo Wii. There are three cables that should be coming out of the back of the console: the audio-video cable that should be connected to the television, the AC adapter cable that should be connected to an electrical outlet, and the sensor bar wire.
Place the sensor bar in a location that provides a clear path between the bar and the Wii remote controller.
Open the back of the Wii remote controller. The back cover can be removed by using a latch on the cover itself.
Place two functional AA batteries in the Wii remote controller. Do not close the cover yet.
Open the panel on the front of the Wii game console. The panel is located directly to the left of the vertical game disc slot. In the panel are a red button and an SD card slot.
Use the "power" button on the Wii console to turn on the Wii. If successful, the light of the "power" button should turn green.
On the back of the Wii controller, locate and press a small, red, circular button. When the back of the controller is open, it is visible on the bottom right of the controller. This enables the controller's Bluetooth synchronization device for approximately one minute. If the synchronization device has been successfully activated, the four blue lights on the front of the controller will begin flashing.
Press the red button within the panel of the front of the Wii game console.
When the Wii game console and the controller have synced with each other, the four lights in front of the controller will stop flashing, leaving a single solid light.
Close the back of the controller and the front panel of the Wii.
