Using LAN Adapter
Connect the Wii LAN adapter to the USB port on the back of the console. This adapter allows you to connect an ethernet cable to the console.
Connect the LAN adapter to an ethernet port on either your wireless router or your modem. The modem or router will be the medium allowing your Wii to connect to the internet. Most modems and routers have multiple ethernet inputs to allow for the connection of multiple devices.
Turn on the Wii console and select the "Options" button in the bottom left corner of the screen, then select "Settings" followed finally by "Internet" from the options list.
Select "Connection Status" followed by "Connection 3," then finally select "Wired Connection."
Select "Ok" when prompted; this will initiate a connection test. Once it passes, the Wii will be connected to the Internet.
Connecting Via a PC
Install and run the software on the Wii's Wi-Fi USB connector CD by inserting the disc and following the on-screen options.
Connect the Wii to the PC using a USB cable; connect one end to the Wii's USB port and the other end to a USB port on your PC.
Turn on the Wii console and select the "Options" button in the bottom left corner of the screen, then select "Settings" followed finally by "Internet" from the options list.
Select "Connection Status" followed by "Connection 3," then finally select "Nintendo Wi-FI USB Connector" and then click "Next."
Check your PC; you should see a Registration Tool Window. Click on your Wii, which should be listed, and then click "Grant Permission to Connect." Check your Wii and then click "Next" followed by "Ok" to test the connection and connect to the Internet.
Connecting Via Wi-Fi
Turn on your Wii and press "A" on one of the controllers to reach the options menu, then select the "Options" menu on the bottom left corner of the screen, followed by "Settings" then "Internet."
Select "Connection Settings" followed by "Connection 3: None" then select "Wireless Connection."
Select "Search for an Access Point" then select your wireless network, which should already be established, from the list that pops up.
Click "Ok" to save the Internet settings then select "Ok" again to test the connection. After the test, the Wii will be connected to the Internet.
