Types
For a wired connection, Wii owners must use a LAN adapter that connects to the back of the Wii console. The Wii comes wireless Internet ready and players can make the connection via options in the Wii Menu.
Considerations
If the network environment in the home is not wireless, but a PC is directly connected to the DSL internet connection, players can connect their Wii to the internet through a Wi-Fi USB connector. This connector plugs directly into the PC.
Connection Completion
Players must finish the set-up of either connection through the "Connection Settings" option under "Internet" in the Wii Menu. After the "Connection Settings" steps are completed the console will test the connection to make sure it is working properly.
