This is a way to access the Internet if you do not have a router. The Wii does not have an Ethernet card inside, but it does have a wireless adapter. By creating a PC-to-PC network, you can surf the web via the Wii. This method describes how to connect computer with Windows Vista to a Nintendo Wii.

      Hook an Ethernet cable from your laptop to a modem.

      Go to "Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Set Up a New Connection or Network > Set Up a Wireless Ad Hoc Network."

      Type a name, security level, and password for your new network.

      Power up the Nintendo Wii and, using the controller, go to "Main Menu > Wii Settings > Internet Settings > Connection Settings". A menu will pop up asking you for the network name and the password.

      Type in the network name and password that you created on your laptop. Save your changes and go back to the main menu.

      Select the "Internet" icon to start surfing the web on your Wii.
