How to Play Games From a DVD-R on a Wii

The Nintendo Wii can be modified so that it can play games copied onto a recordable DVD-R blank disc. Making a backup copy of a Wii game that you legally own must be done on a computer that has a DVD burner disc drive. You can use a disc copy program and a disc burning program to copy the Wii game to the computer's hard drive and then save it onto a DVD-R disc. There are a number of these programs, many of which are free, and most of which are intuitive to use. The modified Wii can then play the DVD-R as if it was the original game disc.
