Composite AV
Connect the square side of the Wii AV Cable into the "AV Multi Out" port on the back of the Wii.
Connect the red, white and yellow AV cables on the opposite side of the Wii AV Cable into the red, white and yellow AV inputs on the TV.
Change the TV to the AV display mode. It may be referred to as "AV," "Input" or "Video," depending on the TV. Turn the Wii on; the Wii logo appears on the screen.
Composite Connection
Connect the rectangular side of the Wii Component Cable into the "Digital AV Out" port on the back of the Wii.
Connect the larger green, blue and red component cables on the opposite side of the Wii Component cable into the green, blue and red component inputs on the TV. Connect the smaller and separate red and white audio cables into the red and white AV inputs.
Change the TV to the Component display mode. Turn the Wii on; the Wii logo appears on the screen. Wait for the Wii Channel Menu to load.
Select the "Wii" icon on the bottom of the Wii Channel Menu. Select "Wii Settings," then "Screen," then "TV Resolution." Select "EDTV or HDTV (480p)" and select "Confirm."
