Instructions
Check to make sure that the ethernet cable is directly connected to the broadband modem or the router. When using a modem, momentarily unplug the cable that connects to the computer when connecting the Wii console.
Turn the power off on the Wii console. Place the LAN adapter into the USB port that is located on the back of the Wii.
Connect the ethernet cord from the modem to the port that is located on the LAN adapter. The LAN adapter should be already connected to the Wii.
Turn the console on. On the main menu of the Wii console, click the button that says "Wii" in the lower left-hand corner. The settings screen will open on the screen. Click on "Wii settings."
Click on the blue arrow that is on the right side of the page to reach the second screen options. When the second screen appears, click on the button that says Internet. Select connection settings, then select one of the slides that is empty. You can tell it is empty because the word "none" will appear next to the connection box.
Choose wired connection. On the next screen click "OK." The Wii will now make a connection with the router and the LAN adapter is ready to use.
