  Join the website. Most avatar-based sites are free to join. You may have to download programs to your computer to complete registration and access the character-building portion of the program.

  Build your virtual girl. You are often led directly from registration to a character creation program. Here you will pick the body type, skin color, hair, clothing and other accessories for your character. Save your character when you̵7;re finished.

  Open the main client for your game or chat site to access your new virtual girl.
