How to Start Thunder in Mabinogi

In "Mabinogi," a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, players are able to level up a variety of human, elf, and giant characters by completing quests and killing monsters, either through melee combat and archery skills, or the use of powerful magic. One of the strongest spells in the game is the spell Thunder, which can eliminate entire groups of enemies at once. However, before the spell can be cast, it has to be learned via a series of special quests or actions.

Instructions

  Travel to Dunbarton and talk to Stewart, the magic teacher. You must know the Lightning Bolt spell at Rank F or higher, and you must have a Lightning Wand equipped. The Emission Lightning Wand doesn't count as a Lightning Wand for this particular quest.

  Unequip your Elemental Apprentice title if you have it, and talk to Stewart about Skills. Stewart will give you the Thunder Collection Skillbook for the Thunder quest. If you have the Elemental Apprentice title equipped, he will give you the Fireball quest instead.

  Use the Thunder Collection Skillbook to begin your Thunder quest. Note that you will not be able to begin the quest unless you have completed the Fireball, Ice Spear, Arrow Revolver, Final Hit, and Final Shot quests.

  Visit Manus, the healer of Dunbarton. He will tell you the book is in the Specialties section of the library, but it is missing five pages. Each one of these pages is held by a different dungeon monster.

  Kill Wisps, Imps, or Orange Grumbills to obtain Page 1. Kill Flying Swords or Lightning Sprites to obtain Page 2. Kill Banner Imps, Pocket Mice, or Kitty Wizards to obtain Page 3. Kill Black and Red Succubi to obtain Page 4. Kill Light and Heavy Gargoyles to obtain Page 5.

  Place the pages into the empty book and deliver the book to Stewart to complete the Thunder quest and acquire your Thunder skill. The spell can be cast multiple times for stacking effects and requires a Lightning Wand to use.
